You can but it will look very cheap and fake. It won’t be as flexible, or hold color well, and it will dry shiny and flat; basically, it will look like plastic, where liquid latex tends to look at least somewhat more like skin.
It will probably suffice if your audience is far away from you, and your standards aren’t terribly high, such as in school plays. If you’re looking for makeup effects where you’ll be interacting with people up close, then go for the liquid latex.
