I think gloves would be extreme. The infected person is the highest chance to get them and from the mite itself. To answer your question though, I’d say you’ve have a better chance at finding a 3 legged balerina than catching scabies from a movie chair. But I may be wrong, I’ve just never heard of that. I think they are most common in beds and dirty locales that are not cleaned properly. That’s why I change my sheets weekly, ya never know what’s crawlin around!
